Dr. Jessica Heard

Dr. Jessica Heard attended Auburn University's College of Veterinary Medicine. After practicing in Georgia for many years, she recently returned to her home state of Maryland and lives in the neighborhood of West Severna Park. While practicing in Georgia, she volunteered with the Atlanta Doberman rescue organization. Her special interests include chemotherapy and dental health. She belongs to the Maryland Veterinary Medical Association and the American Veterinary Medicine association. When not practicing she enjoys sailing with her husband and children and gardening with her dog Bon Bon.


Dr. Carl Rogge

Dr. Carl Rogge established SPVH in 1974 (sold to Dr. Heard in 2005). He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania's College of Veterinary Medicine and currently lives in the Linstead community in Severna Park. He is a former president of the D.C Academy of Veterinary Medicine and is also a member of the American and Maryland Veterinary Medical Associations. His special veterinary interests include canine and equine sports medicine as well as orthopedic surgery. Besides his work here in Severna Park, Dr. Rogge has volunteered as a veterinarian for the Ididatrod Alaska sled dog race for seven years. In his off time he enjoys golfing at Chartwell Country Club and sailing on the Severn River.

 

Dr. Patricia Gaboury

Dr. Pat Gaboury joined the staff at Severna Park Veterinary Hopital in 1988. She graduated from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in 1983.. She then worked in small animal practice in Georgia for several years.

Dr. Gaboury especially enjoys surgery, and admits to being totally charmed by cats. She lives in Crofton with her husband Paul, their teenage children, Alexandra and Bret, and their cats, Mikey and Freckles.

In her spare time, she loves to read, tries to grow flowers and attends many of her childrens' soccer and baseball games. For fun, she belongs to the Bowie Scrabble Club and spends many happy hours learning obscure and tricky words.

 

Dr. MaryBeth Dearing

Dr. MaryBeth Dearing completed her undergraduate education at Virginia Tech with a degree in Animal Science and received her Master’s Degree in Reproductive Physiology-Animal Science.  She earned her veterinary degree at Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine.  Before moving back to her hometown of Severna Park, she worked in Virginia at a large 24hr hospital for 7 years.  She moved back to Severna Park six years ago where she and her husband live with their three children, two beagles and one cat.
